My Little Problem Solver

I was busily finishing cooking for dinner just before picking up the boys from school today, that I asked Adam to get dressed. He came down a little later in shorts and a t-shirt and he said, "I put it on the right way. There's no tags", meaning he didn't put it back to front.

I then said, can you get the swimming things on the day bed upstairs? I gave him a bag but I asked him to leave his things (the other things he was carrying) and he mistook it to mean to leave the bag as well. Anyway, about five minutes later, he came down carrying a clothes basket with the 3 towels and 3 sets of swimming clothes in it! And he said, "There was so much stuff, I couldn't carry them with my arms. So, I put them in the basket and carried it all by myself." He had a triumphant smile on his face and it made me so proud!

Then, while waiting in third spot at the car line at school (cars can queue and the teachers take our kids to our cars), the first car drove off and then the passengers in the second car started to hop in the car. So, I started my car. But then, the mum started chatting to another passing parent while she was putting bags in the boot. Adam said, "Why are we not going, mum?" I said, "The lady in front is talking to someone." Adam then replied, " You can drive to the side and go in front. That will work." It sure did.
